Will Greenwood was put on the spot at Twickenham at which he was hosting a live record of Will Greenwood’s podcast.
Ahead of the 2019 World Cup in Japan Rupert Cox asked Will because of his present World XV, that started a lively debate.
There are plenty of surprises in the group, together with England and New Zealand contributing three players every day, whereas South Africa, Wales, and Ireland – that the best team on earth according to the new World Rugby ratings – just have one participant apiece.
“It’s not so easy to select – that you are under pressure to choose 15 player who will execute, but I’d be pleased going into coach the side,” clarified Greenwood.
“It provides me a front row that can manage the ball who can also bend over and drive!
“I have got astronomical lineup jumper who will possibly handle, I’ve a mongrel for the breakdown, I have got a profit line winner at Billy V and a loose cannon in Matera!”
“Every team needs a bit French general and I’ve got that at my side; then you have Barrett who will win a game on his own.”
Originally, England’s Johnny May was at the No 11 jersey however after pointing out that there weren’t any South Africans in the other side, Greens swapped out him to Mapimpi.
He can give Springbok fans something to cheer about while Mapimpi is the sole South African to create the Will’s World XV.
“To put this into perspective that I can easily pick Steven Kitshoff, Malcolm Marx and Frans Malherbe are exceptional. In the second row Eben Etzebeth and RG Snyman could easily slot in there and I have not discussed about Mostert.
“free of 6 I must have Siya Kolisi there, I like Kwagga Smith, Pieter-Steph Du Toit is a creature and Duane Vermeulen is wonderful!
“Subsequently Faf De Klerk at No 9, Handre Pollard in 10. Damian de Allende and Lukhanyo Am at the center, Cheslin Kolbe and Makazole Mapimpi about the wings and I would have Willie Le Roux in each group – so do not tell me they are not likely to win the World Cup!”
